Thankfully there wasn’t any fire involved in the challenge.
Oh, Abby :)
They didn’t include the final round of ping pong in which we were all set on fire.
Abby.
Canada is proud of you, madame.

I picked up my brush and India ink for the first time in about a year, and the result is what you see here.
I really miss the intimate nature of traditional inking, but OH BOY can it ever be a crap-shoot when you are not practiced. I’ve learned lots from going digital this year, so I’m interested to see what happens if I start doing more traditionally inked things.
This may or may not have something to do with The Next Thing I am working on.
Hazel fanart for Danielle because of all the warm fuzzies I am feeling today!
Tumblr doesn’t like how I try to link stuff, so get yourself down to www.girlswithslingshots.com
I’m thinking that this will be the cover for Thinking Tree. I have plans to do a series of stories in a similar style.
Many thanks for all of the kind words I have received so far about this project. I’m really excited about where things are going.
For people in Edmonton: I will be selling The Thinking Tree along with some other comics in zine-form at Hardcopy (hardcopyedmonton.wordpress.com) on June 8th & 9th. This is very, very exciting!
